#WaterCrisis: Costs don't add up

Does no one do simple maths any more? I refer to your front-page article (“Water points set to cost R200 million”, Cape Times, January 29).

For 200 water points! That is R1million a point. How on earth can they spend that much on a water point?

And 200 points for how many people - 20 million perhaps? That is one point for every 100 000 people, to collect 25 litres a person a day. How is that going to work?

I always thought most of our politicians live in cloud cuckoo land, but this is beyond a joke.
