Donald Trump's children have paid tribute to their "fighter" dad after he was shot in the ear in an assassination attempt on Saturday.
The presidential hopeful was the subject of an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday and his offspring have sent public messages of support to the Republican candidate - who has now been released from hospital - in the wake of the shocking incident.
His daughter Ivanka Trump posted on X: "Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today's senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania.
"I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country.
"I love you Dad, today and always."
The former 'Apprentice' star's son Donald Jr. shared a photo of his dad with a bloody ear and his fist raised defiantly in the air after the shooting.
He captioned the post on X: "He'll never stop fighting to Save America."
His brother Eric Trump shared the same picture of his father and wrote: "THIS IS THE FIGHTER AMERICA NEEDS!"
A host of others have sent their well-wishes to the former US leader.
MMA fighter Conor McGregor wrote on X: "A 78 year old multiple billionaire he should be on a yacht on the med touring golf courses. But he is not.
“He is in Pennsylvania spitting out bullets! Running for the love of his country! God speed Donald! God bless the United States [prayer and heart emojis]"
Actress Ashley Judd also wished Trump well.
She wrote on Instagram: "All political violence of all kinds in all settings against all people is wrong.
"I would never want Mr Trump hurt. He is a human with a family, just as I am. My Pop and I hope he is okay and send encouragement to his family.
"Sending comfort to all present who were affected by such a malignant experience, especially the families of the deceased. America, we are, and must be, better than political violence."
But the 'Double Jeopardy' actress was forced to remove comments from the post after being "appalled" by what some of her followers had to say.
She wrote: "Thank you, all, who are exercising the goodness of your humanity in this fraught moment. I have also seen comments here that appalled me. I will not host such inappropriate incivility. Comments are off."
Space X mogul Elon Musk offered an endorsement to Trump.
Sharing footage from the rally, he wrote: "I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery."
