Reality TV star and actress Mpumi “Mrs Mops” Mophatlane, along with her husband Isaac, is facing the second auction of their five-bedroom home in Waterkloof, Pretoria. The property will be auctioned this week after the Bidders Choice Online group confirmed the sale, scheduled for Wednesday, March 5.
Christian Jozua Eskell Klagsbrun is also named as a second respondent, alongside the Mophatlane's, according to the Case Number 54069/20, which has been published on the auctioneer's website.
This is not the first time the Mophatlane family has faced the possibility of losing their mansion. In September last year, the same mansion went up for auction, but they reportedly managed to recover it before it was sold.
Love of luxury
Mpumi, better known as Mrs Mops gained fame through her appearances on The Real Housewives of Johannesburg and The Mommy Club on Showmax. Mrs Mops is known for her glamorous lifestyle and love of luxury.
Mrs Mops frequently indulges in high-end products like Gucci, where she is frequently seen wearing the designer clothing, bags, and earrings, from head to toe. She is also no stranger to fine dining, luxury holidays, as seen on her Instagram.
The reality TV star's mansion is being auctioned for the second time after the Sheriff of the High Court Pretoria South Gauteng Division and Nedbank Limited, the creditor, revealed that the Mophatlane family owes around R9 million.
An on-site viewing of the property will be held on Wednesday, February 25, and the auction will take place on Wednesday, March 5.
Those looking to secure the house, need to register for the auction with a R50,000 registration fee.
About Mrs Mops mansion
The home boasts a swimming pool, a double garage, and staff quarters.
The ground floor has an entrance hall, a study, a guest toilet, a laundry, two bedrooms with a bathroom, a formal patio and a wine cellar.
While the first floor has five bedrooms, a pyjama lounge, a dressing room, and a swimming pool in a security controlled access area.
