Brutal Fruit made sure to pull all the stops for the luxurious launch of The Pink Table!
The Pink Table is a revolutionary global movement celebrating the power of women coming together. The Pink Table is an elevation of Brutal Fruit Spritzer Saturdays.
It is more than a name change, it’s a brunch occasion that has grown, evolved and become an international movement, encouraging connection among women, anytime, anyplace, transcending borders.
The Pink Table is headed to Paris Fashion Week in October, but before then, countries across the world will get to experience the magic of sisterhood, coming together to create meaningful connections that turn into everlasting friendships and memories.
Candice van den Bosch, Brutal Fruit Brand Director speaking to IOL explained that The Pink Table is more than an evolution of the brand’s popular Spritzer Saturdays.
Van den Bosch explained that Brutal Fruit events are not about exclusivity but good energy, joy, and connection.
She added that “Launched 23 years ago in 2002, Brutal Fruit has since become a part of South African culture and has expanded its footprint across Africa, into Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Ghana and Tanzania. Its global success is in Brazil, China and the United Kingdom.”
Good music, delicious food, and good vibes made the event an elegant affair, and for the fashion, looks were served and with a guest list that featured the who’s who of South African style icons. It’s no surprise that even on the trip back home, all that could be heard was “that was amazing” and “what a time”.
Cavalli Estate proved to be the perfect location for the launch of The Pink Table, a picturesque venue, leading up to Paris Fashion Week.
Brutal Fruit understands that the modern woman loves to take a good picture for the gram, and the event decor was an influencer's playground with several backdrops that made an Instagram-worthy picture.
For an iconic announcement, you need the best in the business, and Mzansi’s top presenter, Bonang Matheba, was enlisted to host the launch of The Pink Table.
Matheba hosting the event was a full-circle moment; she even remarked on how the brand helped spark her entrepreneurial spirit, and as a huge supporter of women, The Pink Table resonated with her.
Guests mingled with Queen of the 90s and actress Thembi Seete, award-winning actress and presenter Thando Thabethe, actress Ceecee Ndaba, fashion designer Londeka Ndaba, top digital influencers Mihlali Ndamase, Xoli Gcabashe, and Pamela Mtanga.
Even Besties from Miss South Africa were in the vicinity, Lalela Mswane, dazzled in one of Gert-Johan Coetzee’s iconic designs, and Nande Mabala, slayed in a Style Rotate ruffle pink dress.
One can’t have a top event in the Mother City and not have Cape Town influencers, and they made sure to dazzle from Zuki Laman to Babalwa Mcaciso in attendance.
Brutal Fruit Spitzer may be synonymous with South Africa, but this is a global brand made for the African woman, and what a delightful moment, that included ‘Besties’ from the continent; Dabilo Moses from Botswana and Zambia’s Kasazi Lungu.
What’s a celebration without fitting entertainment, and who better to tell the story of Brutal Fruit’s evolution than the award-winning writer and playwright Dr. Gcina Mhlophe. DJ Fiflaaa made sure the vibes were flowing like premium water, and Ami Faku had the ladies singing the lyrics word for word, and DJ Kent had the attendees dragging their feet to leave the venue.
Putting together an A-list event is no small task, but executing it with such great precision and attention to detail is nothing short of exceptional!
Together, a perfect guest list of celebrities, influencers, and media from all corners of South Africa travelled from one province to another, to share in the brand's Global announcement.
