Rome - Italian coast guards have spotted 15 bodies at sea after a boat laden with nearly 200 refugees capsized in heavy seas, an official told AFP, adding that 48 people had been rescued.
The rescue operation is ongoing, said coast guard official Vittorio Alessandro from the tiny island of Lampedusa which has seen thousands of migrant arrivals from Libya and Tunisia in recent weeks. - Sapa-AFP
