Cops seize R130m of cocaine

Hong Kong - Hong Kong police on Saturday reported the seizure of nearly $20 million (about R130 million) worth of cocaine.

Two men aged 29 and 53 were arrested in possession of one kilogram of cocaine in an operation on Friday, and 146 kilograms of the drug were later found in a raid on a flat, a police statement said.

Police said the cocaine had a retail value of 153 million Hong Kong dollars (19.7 million US dollars).

The suspects, the younger one a Venezuelan and the other a Chinese national, were held on suspicion of drug trafficking, police said. - Sapa-dpa
