Hamburg - The death of a female erotic performer following her sixth breast enlargement procedure has prompted a criminal investigation at the hospital in Hamburg, Germany, where she was operated upon.
The 23-year-old performer - who had attained some national fame for appearances on the reality show Big Brother - died after her heart stopped following the surgery, confirmed Wilhelm Moellers, the spokesperson of the Hamburg prosecutor's office.
She had been in the hospital in a coma for nine days.
Prosecutors said they will investigate the anaesthetist and surgeon in charge of the surgery on suspicions of involuntary manslaughter.
