Vienna - A huge child porn ring involving more than 100 men, including four teachers and a kindergarten worker, has been smashed in Austria, police said Sunday.
A spokesman for the federal criminal office BKA, Alexander Marakovits, told Austrian news agency APA that pornographic material was seized during raids of 107 homes around the country following a tip-off from Luxembourg.
The men, aged between 18 and 70 from various social backgrounds, are suspected of downloading the material from a server in Luxembourg, with some of them trying to cover their tracks by using Internet cafes, Marakovits said.
One of the men had a stash of some 20,000 photos and 300 videos, the spokesman said. - Sapa-AFP
