Smart, sinister or seedy? You decide! German tuner Brabus has tinkered with the new Mercedes-Benz CLS, offering a series of performance and aerodynamic mods.
On the design front, the German tuner has pumped up the looks with a bolder front bumper, LED daytime running lights, gills for the fender, a neat set of side skirts and a wide choice of alloy wheels, the biggest being a flashy set of 20-inchers.
At the rear, the CLS gets a distinctive rear apron that proudly displays the aftermarket exhaust system's four tailpipes (although the greenies won't like the fact that they're not turned downwards) as well as a boot spoiler. A range of bespoke trimmings is also available for the cabin.
While the aesthetic add-ons are available on all CLS models, engine conversions are only available on the diesel models for now.
The most enticing prospect here is the C350 CDI, with a useful power upgrade taking the tally from 198kW to 233kW, while torque increases from 620Nm to 690Nm, available from 1600 to 2400rpm. Brabus claims that this flashier CLS will pounce from 0-100km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
At the touch of a button, the driver may also select an eco setting for economical driving, in which the aforementioned power increase is not available but the torque is.
A conversion is also available on the less exciting CLS 250 CDI, where power rises by 23kW to 175kW and torque is up to 560Nm.
As you'd expect, Brabus has also honed the handling by offering the option of a full sports suspension, in which the car is also lowered by 30mm.
