Perhaps inspired by the pimped up Toyota Prius' at this year's SEMA show in 'Vegas, Nissan is also jumping onto the "lets prove that a green car can be cool too" bandwagon.
The victim in this case is the Leaf electric car, which recently won the European Car of the Year competition.
This kitted out Leaf is one of nine modified Nissans that will be shown at the forthcoming Tokyo Auto Salon. They're the result of collaboration between Nissan, its NISMO performance division and NAPAC, which is a Japanese car parts association.
The Leaf Aero Style Concept pictured here benefits (or derives embarrassment - you decide) from a radical bodykit, which includes futuristic-looking alloy wheels. No mention has been made of any performance enhancements to the electric motor though.
Other interesting creations include an accessorised Nissan Juke crossover and NISMO's latest GT-R RC production race car.
