Nissan South Africa has announced a special-edition Titanium version of its Navara bakkie, limited to just 200 examples, for release in September 2012, with a host of styling and detail upgrades on the current SE model.
These include titanium-coloured rims as well as a satin-smoked-finish grille, rear step bumper, side mirror housings and door handles, in keeping with the titanium metallic theme.
But it's not all cosmetic.
The Navara Titanium comes with all-terrain tyres, a tow bar, front bull bar, tonneau cover, embossed carpets and a special Titanium-branded key ring, as standard issue.
It will be available in black, white or silver, with the familiar 2.5-litre common-rail turbodiesel, for which Nissan quotes 128kW and 403Nm driving through a six-speed manual gearbox, at R374 000 for the rear-wheel drive version and R415 000 for the 4x4 - which, in each case, is R6000 more than the standard SE model.
That's what you pay for exclusivity in Navaraland.
