The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) will take part in the traditional 21-gun salute and military flyover during Thursday's State of the Nation Address (SONA) despite the Democratic Alliance's call.

The DA stressed that the full military demonstration would not be necessary given the current situation in the DRC.
