Police are searching for a teacher who was kidnapped outside her school in Algoa Park, Gqeberha, on Monday morning.
According to Eastern Cape police, three armed men driving a white Toyota Corolla forcibly abducted the 45-year-old teacher at around 8 am.
The kidnapping occurred shortly after the teacher arrived at the school in her grey Toyota Fortuner.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge said at least three male suspects in a white Toyota Corolla ambushed her, forcibly removed her from her vehicle, and drove off with her.
“No ransom has been demanded yet.”
A kidnapping case has been opened at SAPS Algoa Park and the SAPS Provincial Organised Crime Investigation (POCI) Unit is investigating.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The motive of the kidnapping is not known at this stage.
There has been a spate of kidnappings in the Eastern Cape recently.
In February a 9-year-old girl was kidnapped outside her school in Buffalo Flat in East London.
Fatima Emaan was snatched by three males and was released a week later.
Three foreigners have been arrested in connection with her kidnapping.
