The Miss South Africa Organisation has officially launched the hunt for its next ambassador, who will succeed the current titleholder, Mia le Roux.

With entries opened on April 2 and running until April 11, 2025, at 6pm, this year's competition has promised to be more dynamic with the introduction of new age eligibility criteria aimed at broadening the field of entrants.

This year, applicants must be between 20 and 32 years old by August 30, 2025, allowing more women from different age groups to take part.

Moreover, the Miss South Africa Organisation has removed height and weight specifications, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and the celebration of diverse body types.

This marks a significant shift in the pageant's philosophy, embracing the essence of individuality and authenticity, values that Le Roux passionately embodies.

In a heartfelt message to future contestants, Le Roux encouraged them to approach the competition with an open heart and mind. She emphasised the importance of self-discovery and personal growth throughout the journey, stating, “This experience will challenge you to explore who you are and what you stand for. And, if you embrace the journey fully, you will come out knowing yourself so much better whether you take the crown or not.”

She also highlights the importance of authenticity stating, “The most important thing is to stay true to who you are; this is how you will be consistent. If you are sitting on the fence on whether to enter or not, go for it. Your voice can be a vehicle for change thanks to the role you will play and with the support of the Miss South Africa Organisation.”

Reflecting on her own experience, Le Roux described her reign as “beyond my expectations.” She highlighted the transformative impacts of stepping into this role, stating, “Your life really changes forever but you also get to truly change others' lives and redefine what it means to be a powerful woman.” Each new titleholder contributes to an evolving definition of empowerment.

Following the enthusiastic reception of previous seasons, South African audiences will once again have the chance to follow the journey of finalists through the reality competition series, Crown Chasers. Season 4 promises more episodes than ever and, for the first time, will feature a post-finale reunion episode, providing an even more in-depth look at the contestants and their experiences.
