The Cobras were crowned champions for the second time in three years when they beat the Warriors by 12 runs in the Standard Bank Pro20 final at Newlands on Friday night.

Chasing 167 for victory, the Warriors made 154.

The Warriors won the toss and put the Cobras into bat. The home side scored 166/5 with Richard Levi made 45 and Owais Shah unbeaten on 39.

For the Warriors, debutant Kelly Smuts top-scored with 56 not out and his brother Jon-Jon Smuts contributed 29.

Claude Henderson was the pick of the bowlers finishing on 1/14 off his four overs. - Sapa
