Johannesburg – Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced the names of the five independent directors of its new board.

The five were Louis von Zeuner, who would chair the new board, Dawn Mokhobo, Vusi Pikoli, Mohamed Iqbal Khan, and Geoff Whyte, said CSA on Tuesday.

“The selection process followed an extensive two-month process carried out by the Independent Nominations Committee (INC), following their appointment at the Board meeting of August 11.”

CSA acting president Willie Basson was pleased by the quality of the independent directors and believed they would work well with the board's five non-independent directors.

Von Zeuner was the current deputy group chief executive of Absa Group.

The new board would be constituted at the cricket body's annual general meeting on October 27, where the independent directors would be ratified and non-independent directors voted in. – Sapa
