The Titans declared their second innings at 187/7 on Saturday, giving the Knights a target of 412 to win on day three of the SuperSport Series cricket match at the Diamond Oval on Saturday.

The Knights made a superb effort to come from behind after the Titans declined to enforce the follow on.

The hosts batted solidly down the top order with half-centuries from Rilee Rossouw, who made 65, and Boeta Dippenaar, who contributed 53.

The Knights were at 277/5 at the close, with Morne van Wyk and Ryan McLaren having added an unbeaten 72 for the sixth wicket to reduce the target to another 135 runs.

Van Wyk was on 47 not out and McLaren was unbeaten on 23.

CJ de Villiers was the pick of the Titans bowlers, returning 2/51 from 17 overs. – Sapa
