Chief executive Gerald Majola and vice-president AK Khan were among the officials who had arrived shortly before the start of a Cricket SA (CSA) special general meeting in Kempton Park on Saturday morning.

The CSA board of directors, some of whom were still arriving shortly before the scheduled 11am start, were expected to vote president Mtutuzeli Nyoka out of office.

Nyoka, who reportedly said this week he had changed his mind and would not attend the meeting, as there was “no point”, had not yet turned up.

Only one of the 11 provincial administrative bodies – the Northerns Cricket Union – publicly stated it would support the CSA president.
