Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of centre-back Thatayaone Ditlhokwe,
who has been signed by the Libyan giants Al-Ittihad for an eye-watering fee reported at R15 million.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys revealed they have reached an agreement with Libyan top-flight club Al-Ittihad for the transfer of defender who joined from Supersport United on a free transfer two years ago.
TT as he was known in the dressing room, has joined, one of the biggest clubs in Libya who have won the Libyan Premier League 19 times.
Ditlhokwe joined Amakhosi during the 2023-24 season as part of the club's efforts to revamp their squad and bounce back from a couple of lacklustre seasons. He struggled for game time in the first season.

We wish him the best of luck in his new venture#Amakhosi4Life
During his 18-month tenure with the club, the Botswana international struggled consistently to make the starting line-up and made 32 appearances across all competitions.
In recent weeks however, TT has been a key player in the Chiefs back four as the coach has preferred him in the left back slot, relegating Bradley Cross to the bench.
Kaizer Chiefs' Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, admitted that parting ways with Ditlhokwe was a tough decision to make.
“It was not an easy decision for us when Al-Ittihad approached us regarding TT,” Motaung Jr said.
“We engaged the player and during our discussions, he expressed his desire to move to Libya for further experience and opportunities. As a club, we didn’t want to impede his progress, and we appreciate his professionalism and discipline.
“Although we will miss him, we believe this is a fantastic opportunity for him, and we would like to thank him for his dedicated service to Chiefs and wish him the best of luck in his new venture.” he added.
