Following his side's 3-1 loss to Stellenbosch FC in the MTN 8 quarter-finals at the Danie Craven Stadium on Sunday, TS Galaxy coach Saed Ramovic blasted the state of the pitch, labelling it as a "disgrace and embarrassment".

The Rockets, who were making their debut in the competition, got knocked out of the MTN 8 by the Cape Winelands outfit on a pitch that appeared to be in relatively poor condition.

The German tactician questioned how the Premier Soccer League (PSL) allowed the game to be played on a such a pitch, stating even a cow could break its leg on the “embarrassing” pitch.

"You come to a game where probably a cow could break the legs and then I ask myself how the PSL could allow the game to be played on such a pitch.

"Now they have increased the MTN 8 money, they can increase it up to 100 million but they have to fix the fields and not allow my players, a professional team to play on a pitch like this, it's a disgrace and it's embarrassing," Ramovic said.

Ramovic also suggested that the reason why supporters don't come out in large numbers to watch the games in the PSL could be related to the poor standard of the facilities.

"The PSL decides how you should play and then your ask yourself why the supporters don't come out and watch the games, what should they see? You can't even make an easy pass but we tried, I think everyone that came out saw that," Ramovic concluded.
