Social media influencer Cindy Makhathini has confirmed her break-up with amapiano DJ and producer, Felo Le Tee.
Makhathini faced a lot of criticism from social media users in May when she revealed her relationship with the “Yebo Lapho” hitmaker.
At the time, netizens shared their opinions saying that the DJ deserved to be with “someone better”.
Makhathini has been publicly linked to several high-profiled men in the past including, former minister Malusi Gigaba and President Cyril Ramaphosa’s son, Tumelo.
Now, just a two months into the relationship, Makhathini has confirmed they have spilt up.
During a YouTube Live, Makhathini revealed that she is now single.
“The past weeks, the past month has been hard for me, like to a point where I’d go through s*** and then I’d call my dad and be like ‘dude, I am not okay’. I think that’s why I went home, I was like I need to go home and be fine.”
She added: “I am not going to be out here and act like everything is fine, everything is fine currently because I am trying to go back to normal because sometimes it’s hard trying to adjust from being in a relationship, no matter if it lasted two months, three months, even a year. Even two months can do as much damage.
“I even lost weight. I really loved him. I still do, but bye ...”
Makhathini vowed not to date “industry boys” again and revealed the reasons behind their fallout.
“If you’re not forgiving, if there is something I did wrong and we love each other and we get over the situation after I apologise, then you bring up all those things which you said you had forgiven me when we broke up, why didn’t you break you with me at that time?
“If I didn’t get the disrespect towards the end, it was going to take some time. He called me all kinds of names you can imagine. He disgusts me this man, he’s a liar,” Makhathini added.
The DJ has not spoken publicly about their break-up yet.
