It has been five months since fashion icon Iris Apfel died at the age of 102. She was known as one of the most stylish interior designers in the world.
To celebrate the legacy of Apfel, who was born on August 29, Zenni Optical is launching a collection to honour her.
The Iconic Elegance collection aims to celebrate the long, happy life Apfel lived as a stylish woman whose outfit was incomplete without a pair of glasses.
“The new Iconic Elegance collection will launch on August 26th and aims to encapsulate the fashion, boldness and vibrant energy of the late businesswoman.
“Some of Iris’ favourite bold frames, as well as new pairs designed to match her iconic looks,” reads a statement from Zenni Optical.
Apfel also partnered with Dr Scholls Shoes to launch her farewell collection as one of the most prominent designers.
“A fashion legend. An unforgettable icon. And the last designs she ever made. A celebration of her colourful life, Iris Apfel’s final fashion collab is a definitive expression of how she saw the world, and how her bold energy and sense of wonder forever changed it,” read a statement from Dr Scholls.
“Designed with prints sourced from her archives, with personal touches and stories from her life woven throughout, this limited-edition collection celebrates the vibrant legacy of a true original.”
In other news, the Apfel brand partnered with Ruggable to launch a limited edition of colourful rugs. The collection is a celebration of her love for colour and interior design.
